In the spirit of Dr. Frank C. Baxter of The Mole People, Bride of MonsterZine explores horror movies as “fables with a meaning and a significance for you and for me in the 21st century.”

It is the love of monster movies that inspires us to produce Bride of MonsterZine, and it is, we imagine, the love of monster movies that inspires people to read Bride of MonsterZine.

Bride of MonsterZine is written by and for fans. Bride of MonsterZine is not a scholarly magazine, although it takes a somewhat more scholarly approach to monster movies than most fanzines.

We make no apologies for our love of the genre. By the same token, Bride of MonsterZine features articles and essays that offer more than a nostalgic look at monster movies of yesteryear. Bride of MonsterZine seeks insights into the archetypes behind the monsters and the stories that horror movies tell not about the characters, but about us, the viewers, who keep the genre alive.
